GOLDEN NORTH ICE-CREAM EATING COMPETITION:
(Sponsored by Golden North)
This event has been held at the Laura Folk Fair for a number of years and
is a great crowd pleaser (with both the contestant and the viewer).
Records
of winners have been kept since 1993. This competition is a race against
the clock with the contestant asked to eat a litre of icecream in the
quickest time in the Senior Competition. In the Junior the contestant is
asked to eat 300mls of icecream in the quickest time.
Entry is free, just present yourself at the time of the Competition which is held in two heats on the Sunday afternoon of the Laura Folk Fair.
